Welcome to the Global Master School 2026 of Aschaffenburg UAS

Doing business in Europe:

Think global, act local
Sustainable Business Stories (16 – 23 May 2026)

This year’s Global Master School examines how locally embedded firms can successfully internationalise within and beyond the European market by strategically combining sustainability, regional identity, and tourism-based value creation. Using the case of a German winery operating within the framework of the European Union Single Market, the course analyses internationalisation strategies, sustainability-oriented marketing, and wine tourism as interconnected pillars of international management.

This is the Moodle course for the module "International Competencies: Intercultural Cooperation & Communication" jointly taught by Prof. Dr. Alexandra Angress and Prof. Dr. Renate Link every spring term.

English: The module provides an application-oriented foundation in finance with a strong international perspective. Building on core valuation and asset-pricing concepts, it discusses differences across capital markets, risk premia and corporate financing practices using cases and comparative data.

SoSe 2026 In-person lecture (2 SWS), offered twice - Part Wiggenhorn (2 other SWS): see Wiggenhorn

This course is your entry point to understanding the complex relationship between politics and economics in the global arena. International Political Economy (IPE) is an exciting interdisciplinary field that examines how states, markets (businesses and financial systems), and societies interact and influence each other on a global scale.
